Thank You to Everyone Who Supported Sustainable Bourne Valley in 2019
At Sustainable Bourne Valley (SBV), we’re incredibly grateful for the wonderful community support we received during our fundraising events in 2019. Your enthusiasm and generosity are what make our work protecting the environment and promoting sustainable living possible. Here’s a look back at two amazing events that brought us together to celebrate sustainability and raise vital funds for SBV projects.
The SBV Big Breakfast Fundraiser
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Big Breakfast fundraiser in November 2019! Over 160 people came together to enjoy a delicious, sustainably-produced breakfast and learn more about making environmentally friendly food choices.
The event raised a fantastic total of £630, directly supporting SBV’s ongoing work promoting sustainable living and protecting our environment.
Guests were treated to a range of breakfast options, including:
- Full English breakfasts
- Vegetarian and vegan options
All ingredients were locally sourced, with bacon, sausages, and eggs provided by Oaktrack Smallholding in Charlton and Greenfield Pork in Andover. The apple juice came from apples grown in St Mary Bourne, and the jams and marmalades were homemade in the village using locally grown fruits.
To further promote sustainable eating, each table featured information about the food and practical tips for making eco-friendly food choices.
We’re so grateful for the incredible support at this event, and we hope it inspired attendees to consider sustainable practices in their daily lives.

Thank You to Local Artists
In October 2019, we hosted an inspiring Art Exhibition on the theme of protecting the environment at the St Mary Bourne Clubroom Artspace. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many talented local artists who contributed their work to the event.
The exhibition was a great success, drawing dozens of visitors throughout the day and raising £182 for SBV’s projects. The artwork on display beautifully highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship and inspired attendees to reflect on their role in protecting our planet.
We also want to thank everyone who donated cakes and those who came along to view and purchase the artwork. Your contributions helped make the event a memorable celebration of art and sustainability.

Looking Ahead
Thanks to your support, SBV can continue its vital work in the Bourne Valley. From promoting sustainable food choices to raising awareness about environmental protection, every pound raised helps us make a difference.
Stay tuned for updates on our future events and initiatives. Together, we can create a more sustainable future for our community and beyond.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
