St. Mary Bourne Repair Café runs on the first Saturday of each month in The George Inn, St Mary Bourne.

Bring Your Broken Bits
From 10 am until 12 pm
Since September 2022, our Repair Café has been helping the community breathe new life into household and electrical items. We’re part of a nationwide initiative focused on reducing waste and saving money by repairing items that might otherwise be too expensive or impossible to mend.
Our dedicated team includes three expert volunteers who donate their time and skills to tackle all kinds of repairs. Occasionally, we’re joined by a talented seamstress who can mend clothing or handle small fabric repairs. Be sure to check the Hill & Valley calendar or our social media pages to see when she’ll be available!

What Have We Fixed?
Here are just some of the items that have been repaired at our sessions:
- Appliances: Vacuum cleaners (sometimes just a quick clean does the trick!), irons, coffee machines, Kenwood Chefs, and various floor cleaners.
- Household Items: Lamps, a piano stool, a roller blind, and clocks.
- Clothing Repairs: From stitching small tears to other fabric fixes.

Items will only be repaired on the day with the help of our dedicated volunteers.
If you have something that may be a bit tricky, please let us know beforehand, so that we have the right equipment available.
Please do not leave items at The George as it is best if we can chat with you to find out what the problem is

A massive thank you to our volunteers
